Yeah, and now find A and Trace A by taking a log?
not sure .. didn't get enough time to play with it .. my goal is to extract the derivatives solely into their own matrix and look at the symmetries etc

Yeah, you can also solve (simultaneous) systems of linear differential eqns by matrix methods and inverting matrices etc.

exactly .. tbh i thought it would be super cool to be able to prove the quotient rule purely from linear algebra
