Tₙ(cos(θ)) = cos(n⋅θ) (using https://www.unicodeit.net/ )

Huh, thanks that's useful to know. It renders correctly in Chrome and Firefox on my laptop and in the Twitter app on my phone (android). Are they using non-standard/extended unicode? It's a shame http://unicodeit.net doesn't indicate when it's using non-standard characters

there's a wikipedia page that documents all the supported super/sub scripts .. Android actually uses html embedding for some of them .. so things that work on android actually aren't visible on other OS's

Am I reading this wrong? Subscript-n seems to be in there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superscripts_and_Subscripts_(Unicode_block) …

you're right , it does appear in the Official Unicode Consortium code chart pdf, but on the wiki it doesn't render for me i *think* the subscript n is a new addition in Unicode Standard, Version 12.1 .. it could be that many systems have not updated yetpic.twitter.com/EEbwFaUodm

This is weird. Subscript n has been in since version 6.0, back in 2010: https://unicode.org/charts/PDF/Unicode-6.0/U60-2070.pdf …

In fact it looks like the superscripts and subscripts block hasn't been updated since 6.0

that's odd because it still doesn't render on my chrome
