There is no general analytic solution but I'm pretty sure you can analytically describe many orbits (including the figure-8 one).

This solution has be proven analytically to exist: https://arxiv.org/abs/math/0011268 …. Maybe my usage of 'describe' was poor, however I wouldn't go as far as to say that the solution is only shown numerically.
