      Consider the function 𝑓(𝑥) = sin(tan(𝑥)) What happens if we continually iterate 𝑓 on itself? That is, 𝑓⁽⁰⁾(𝑥)=𝑓(𝑥) , 𝑓⁽¹⁾(𝑥)=𝑓(𝑓(𝑥)) .. This sequence actually converges to a constant! (but don't hold your breath .. it converges verrry slow)pic.twitter.com/xRpW1FBuXN

          It's very easy to check that any diff. function that intersects y=x at p (has a fixed point), with a derivative |f'(p)| < 1 , converges to a constant around p. Think about derivatives and chain rule!
