Any time you pick up a well shuffled deck, you are almost certainly holding an arrangement of cards that has never before existed and will likely never exist again. - Yannay Khaikinpic.twitter.com/afOpu0y7qA

What would the possible permutations be for a single shuffle from a sorted deck? Assuming a perfect split of 26 on each side, it doesn't seem like there would be all *that* many possibilities (relatively speaking)
You've never seen how bad I shuffle.
“Good” is doing a lot of work here. A single good riffle shuffle will not create a new permutation. You could do it with a smooshing shuffle, but then there isn’t a clear sense of what constitutes a single shuffle
what about on a big compute cluster?
Depends how you shuffle. A single traditional riffle shuffle doesn't add a lot of randomness to the deck, compared to a a true 52! ordering of the deck. Putting the deck of cards into a hyper-cannon, and firing them into Mars' orbit would be better- but still flawed.
I think what people forget about is the difference 52! And the conditions for a specific game being played. The # of valid combinations for winning in Blackjack is a much smaller amount. Same for any other game because there are 4 of each card type and in many 4 types=10 points
