No the beat envelope will always exist .. might just look different

Is there a rigorous definition of beat envelope, and if so is there a mathematical proof that it will always exist? (I should probably just Google it instead of pestering you
) -
yea, when you add two cosines of the same amplitude you get a product. The lower frequency ω1 - ω2 can be thought of as a time varying amplitude (i.e. an envelope) that the higher frequency wave oscillates between. The left most cosine on the RHS forms the beat envelopepic.twitter.com/5cE0JCxvCq
