It’s okay to say that someone is “too old to be president” in the same sense that it is okay to say someone is “too young to drive”.

Agreed. There should be no limits. No minimum or maximum age. Any dividing line is arbitrary. But concerns about one’s age, especially once they are near the average age of death, are always valid.
