Whenever I read about gravitational waves, I can't help think "holy shit, they really did find them"
It's mindblowing to think that GWs have been passing us since the earth was first spewed into the universe, predicted 100 years ago but thought impossible to detect, and now..

Yeh. Although since we're looking for specific parameters in an uncountable parameter space, it's never quite been clear to me how much it tells us by ruling out subsets of it. I keep asking a friend who works specifically on this but then i forget the details
