Correlation functions, S-matrix, scattering elements, cross sections, etc.? Lots of people have talked about realism wrt. fields and particles, but not much wrt. these objects

Yeah, and matrix elements don’t really admit to any obvious physical interpretation, whereas correlation functions and cross sections allow us to make a nice (approximate, obviously) theory-world/data connection
