        Option 1: draw a circuit diagram in under a minute using MS Paint. Option 2: spend an entire day drawing the said diagram in LaTeX. Option 2 is always the right choice.

        I like my documents kinky too. I learned plain TeX when I was 16, fell in love. To those intimidated: respect your document for what it is: code. Use a code editor (#Vim for me). Use a VCS (e.g. #Git). Compile often, use clean style. With basic tools and habits, you'll be ok.
