"The Magnetic force has a strange directional character.. Magnetism is in reality a relativistic effect of electricity." -Richard P. Feynmanpic.twitter.com/rF3WZVbHg1

"What led me more or less directly to the Special Theory of Relativity was the conviction that the electromotive force acting on a body in motion in a Magnetic field was nothing else but an Electric field. " -Albert Einstein
It is like space/M =B (B1 B2, B3) and time/E =(E1,E2,E3) united in: spacetime/(F23, F31, F12, F01, F02, F03)=(B, E) E and B are mixed up (symbolically) E'~E+B B'~B+E Like space and time by the Lorentz transformation (symbolically) t'~t+x x~x+t Like two different sides of a coin.
We need to bring this into introductory physics courses, which is something I’m working on. It’s also the only example I can think of of a physical entity that can’t actually move being dependent on frame of reference.
BTW, know the famous Frames of Reference video featuring Donald Ivey and Patterson Hume? They wrote a two volume intro physics text that introduces the field tensor.
Shock when 1st saw these in books years ago (someone literally did that?)(E & M in my high school physics books is A LOT MORE BORING & give me an impression that physics is boring, fv<k)
Then amazed, wow-ed.
ISN'T IT NEAT & FV<KING B-E-A-UTIFUL!
