In Special Relativity: (1) Events within your light cone are called “timelike separated” (2) Events outside your light cone are called “spacelike separated” (3) Events on the surface of the light cone are called “lightlike separated”

In SR, all events take place in a vector space called Minkowski Space (𝕄⁴)
I've made a table of the differences between 𝕄⁴ and the familiar ℝ³
𝕄⁴ completely encodes the structure of causality
Note: time and space can now be "mixed up" by matrices in 𝕄⁴pic.twitter.com/FAg0ARKv3V

In General Relativity:? One of my aerospace mentors for exotic propulsion instantly dismisses anyone that uses special relativity to argue FTL tech. Jefimenkos or Heavysides equations can be modified to fit the frame work of general relativity. waiting for quantum computing...

in GR it's the same idea, but you have to be careful since your spacetime can be curved, and since your light follows geodesics this can distort light cones.. i didn't want to get into all this atm

I remember the first I saw this I immediately turned to my friend and asked: "What do you define as the present then?... There must be no such thing as a present, only the past getting mapped into the future." "That in which you are annoying me."

There is some relation of the LC with discrete symmetry T from CPT (or relation with all CPT)?
