I remember reading somewhere that the solutions to the Euler Lagrange equations define a Torus in phase space.. is that what’s being plotted?

I think I was reading things like that, about the topology of phase spaces, and trying to understand it. I think here it's just natural to use a torus since the double pendulum has 2 angles- but this isn't the full phase space as it is missing derivatives
