Things that do NOT look good when you are giving a presentation at a conference: * You are unable to connect your computer to a projector * You are unable to run your presentation from your own computer * The font on your slides is so small nobody can hope to read it (continue?)

I am a big fan of LaTeX, but even I would never advise people to use Beamer to prepare their presentation

Well I think when it comes to prep, it’s what you’re familiar with most and you’re most fluid with. For me, it’s always been TeX. The aesthetics are just too gorgeous

Ok, I missed something here... What does that have to do with Beamer? If you use ppt or something, then sure the fonts go completely mad as soon as you have to use a different computer, but with pdfs this can't happen...
