The woodchuck is a macroscopic quantum oscillator (thanks to Bohr's (more a philosopher than a physicist ) ;-) rather vague "correspondence principle", with "net effective speed" =0 while speeding vibrationally (like an electron) at almost the speed of light ;-)

Maybe "chucking" is not needed since "tunneling" (through the wood barrier) is a possibility as well ;-) U=0.5kx^2 (the potential of a 1-dimensional wood chuck).
