This must mean that the number of possible brain states after Ω cups of coffee rises as Ω^coffee.

I didn't read the article, but on further consideration, shouldn't the number of brain states rise as coffee^Ω instead? (I can argue this on a number of grounds, but the most obvious seems to be the adjustment the coffee term needs when I split my coffee into smaller cups.)
