But these constraints rely on interactions of Baryonic matter as we know it? Isn't it true that the only known interactions DM experiences is gravitation? So the constraints are imposed on interactions that may not even happen? Sorry for the rookie questions. I am a rookie.
No problem, and it’s a great question. The heuristic that they only act gravitationally doesn’t exclude them interacting weakly with other forces. WIMPS themselves for example are assumed to be such particles.

But particles seems highly unlikely. If they are freely moving they would cause severe gravitational ”ghosting”, and if the interact among themselves, they need to mirror our universe?

That would assume that the interaction strengths in the Dark Sector are the same as in the SM which we know isn’t the case
