In physics we usually use the latter definition when we refer to parity. Note that parity is actually not a fundamental symmetry of nature! (e.g. the standard model)
Moreover, CPT (the composition of charge, parity, and time reversal) is the *only* known discrete spacetime symmetry to be respected by nature.

#Feynman amplitudes are invariant under CPT, and so also are the physically measurable quantities depending on the amplitudes (like cross sections, decay rates, etc). -
Right. But we usually make the action CPT invariant so that we can be assured the observables predicted therefrom inherit that invariance.. I believe this can *always* be done, but I'm not sure

CPT sym is true, while evidence suggests that P sym is not true long time ago, then there must be some delicate dance between C sym & T sym.
