Well, if you make the ratio of any two quantities with the same units, you get a dimensionless number. And not all those numbers are of significance

sorry, go on ^_^ tho EMF perturbations are orders of magnitude proportionally, F_G is proportional to mass (which is an extensive? property? gonna have to have that explained to me again... something about scaling linearly with a property of a system...) yeah sorry go on sir ^)^
