I have but my experience with it suuuuccckkkks like really bad. It's *so slow*, and (due to my own failures I admit) I messed up my previous setup pretty bad and would need to start from scratch anyway, so I figured I'd like to go the better route this time
Right, I agree VB is slow.. one possible solution could be to edit your code locally and ssh into a computer at uci and run it via ssh
