I think it depends on the level of abstraction.. at a classical level, absolutely. At the quantum level, it depends what you mean by deterministic.. It requires a refining of our definition

I think Maxwell’s demon would know all wavefunctions for all time, and if you’re an Everettian they all actually manifest in different branchings, but for one observer in a particular branch they would appear random

So in that sense determinism could be salvaged by redefining Maxwell’s demon to have knowledge of all branches of all wave functions

So I don’t think we don’t have the “language” per sé.. it’s like being in flat land in a sense.. being stuck in a particular branch, you don’t observe the others.. this gives the appearance of randomness to a given branch, but if you could see both it would be deterministic
