It's cute how we say the observable universe is 13.8B "years old". We use the year, a way to measure time, that requires our little rock to whip around a little gas ball. But our rock and gas ball have only been here to define that unit for like a third of the universe's lifetime

Just define 1 year in terms of the speed of light so it's Lorentz invariant and then a year is a fundamental property of the universe and humans are important k thx
