What type of particle is formed from the energy produced when beta decay (of negative charge) occurs? Is an identical particle produced when a beta decay of (positive charge) occurs?

I was actually thinking of anti-neutrino that accounts for the remaining energy produced in beta decay (of an electron).

Yes, the neutrino would become an antineutron in vice versa.. the equations that describe this process are invariant under charge conjugation
