While working on my PhD in physics, I met Paul Dirac in 1976. Sadly he came across as extremely rude. Meanwhile John Wheeler was one of the nicest people I ever met.
Student: "Professor Dirac, I believe you made a sign error." Paul Dirac: "No, I probably just made an odd number of them."
