We shouldn't believe that our current laws of physics are true, but we should believe that they are asymptotically getting true-er to objective fact.

To weasel my way out of thinking of a measure.. I will consider “objective fact” to be a point in the space of all possible facts about a given question.. and if you plot scientific consensus vs time (for a fixed question) it seems to be tendering toward a single point
