    The Irish leaders’ debate is really quite shocking. The three leaders have a detailed grasp of complex welfare and tax issues, they are polite and courteous, they admit mistakes, they say sorry. They might even be largely honest. Why is all that possible in Ireland but not here?

    Ireland has fair voting system where every vote counts Politicians need to win voters rather than turning them off their opponents as under FPTP So quality rather than hyper-partisanship prevails And a thriving, pluralist media, not owned by oligarchs to serve their interests

    Help save the Scottish plain loaf of bread. For generations this bread has bean a tea time favourite for many Scots and loved by many visitors to Scotland. The only bakery now producing this bread isin Glasgow, and nowbecause of falling sales, only a day shift remains baking

    Wings imo had gone beyond the pale into major threat to the movement territory. Fundamentally I think he was/is wrong and we have very good polling evidence that an indyref before now would have been lost and even now it’s so close it’s v high risk. Maybe late this year
