  1. Largest living creature in the world. Blue Whale in the Sri Lankan water on the whale watching extention of endemic bird tour - Sri Lanka. We were lucky to see the feeding behaviours of this giant rolling in the surface.

    An excellent ‘Sri Lanka Endemics’ tour with , expertly led by whose field craft and support network have been excellent - even my Dad saw all the 34 endemics. Loads of other great birds to. Now for Blue Whales 🤞🏼

    An Albino Grizzled Giant Squirrel in Welimada and Grey-bellied cuckoo and many other birds from Udawalawa national park, morning safari today. Endemic birds tour - Sri Lanka. Heading to Sinharaja rainforest to get the last remaining endemics to complete the task.

    Pointed Line Blue (Ionolyce helicon) Distributed throughout the island particularly in the wet zone. It can be easily recognized and stand out of the rest of the Lineblues, by its very long, pointed forewing apices.

    Sri Lanka Blue Oak Leaf (Kallima philarchus) An endemic butterfly which is very local. It points its head down on a twig, with its tail in the contact with twig or branch to deliberately give the impression of a withered leaf hanging in a perfectly natural manner.

    Serendib Scops owl (Otus thilohoffmanni) It is the most recently discovered bird in Sri Laka. This small jewel is found in the southern rainforest areas and considered as an endangered due to the loss of habitat and the degradation.
