  3. This was made by Katie longboat, one of the womxn I credit with teaching me how to bead. I needed y’all to see this because get this..... THIS CHAIN AND CLASP ARE ENTIRELY BEADED. She is incredible.

  8. Does anyone else do this? Can y’all have ‘Works in Progress’ that you actually go back to, or is it wishful thinking?

  9. I’m the same way with books, knitting, everything. I’m too impulsive so if I let myself do it I’d have have five million things on the go and never finish em all! Slippery slope 🤷‍♀️ so I just don’t!

  10. I never start a new project before finishing the last *except* with commissions. I know that if I do it with projects I’m doing for fun, I’ll never go back to em. I have to go back to commissions though so it works out

  14. I’ve been betrayed 😢 same brand, same size (allegedly), Same colour (also allegedly), but totally different size and colour!! Had to take apart another work in progress so my beads didn’t look wonky 🤷‍♀️ oh well, I actually like the darker colour better so it’s cool

  15. It’s helped a lot with not having tension in my shoulders too, because once you do one thing with force it’s like the butterfly effect; it’s all gotta be with force or else it looks uneven. Best to just not do it in the first place and keep your muscles loosey goosey

  16. This is something that rings true for knitting too. Using force to make things happen only ever makes it worse, and gives you more problems in the long run (wobbly lines, knitting is too tight, etc). Moral of the story, bead gently and tightly but don’t use force

  17. Probably the most important beading lesson I ever learned (through trial and error) is that it’s better to leave a little spot empty than to try and force a bead in there. It’s not worth making it all wobbly

  20. I’m not sure if it makes a difference at all, but I try not to eat common allergens while I bead, just in case it goes to someone with a bad allergy 🥜

  21. The Unceded medallion has their logo and brand name, plus some northern and southern florals 🌸 the reverse is black felt cuz I didn’t have any leather at the time lol. I consider the Unceded medallion to be one of my proudest works
