I think the studio system needs to collapse but I know it would only mean an even grander consolidation of power under the streaming giants

I normally see a good portion of movies in the theater, but it seems ridiculous to me that they have a mechanism in place to let people watch movies safely but refuse.

US cinema is on its knees mainly through lack of messaging focussed of the safety protocols. Trouble is thus has ruined it for the rest of the world who actually have got their safety message across. Shame we’ll have fuck all to screen

Most of our theaters opened roughly 2 weeks ago, some opened with no notice. The theaters that did open earlier have built trust. I have been goint to a local Studio Movie Grill since late June. Here’s hoping things pick up with the others as people see itcan be safe.

theaters are, but many theaters of limited seating for distancing, so if they just let the movie play for 6 months, would it not potentially make its money eventually?
