It's a very horrific part of humanity yep
Also. I just learned what an “incel” is. My previous experience of people talking about involuntary celibacy applies exclusively to women who don’t find partners after a marriage break up (for various reasons) - mostly people I know.

I don’t think it’s horrific. I think not finding a partner is a genuine sadness for many people. But, in situations where life is really hard, we need to try to find bigger solutions. On an individual level, more brave. On a societal level, more smart.
-
Understandable but let's say that I've dug into the, uh, more horrible hatefilled part
-
I honestly don't think it would shock me.
-
Like, really genuinely don't think it would.
-
It's unfortunate we've hit this kind of point with online culture, isn't it?
-
I don't think so. I certainly think it's unfortunate if online culture reinforces - and potentially fosters - violent behaviour. But, learning more about how people think is always good IMO. Even if it's "dark thoughts." It provides avenues to help people. Hopefully realised.

Be careful reading the stuff the other kind, young male and angry write on the internet. Some of it is soul destroyingly disgusting and foul. They even have some other terms for themselves if they think they are a special kind of incel.
-
I’m honestly not afraid of people on the internet.

That term has been utterly wrecked.

Yeah, strange. I just knew it as a totally different idea.
