For me, it depends on if the game is 3D or 2D. I'll get way more fun and time out of a 3D game, so my limit is higher. As with anything, it's super fuzzy, soooooo... probably around $20 for 2d and $40 for 3D.
I've asked people what their "impulse buy" range is, but now I want to know.. What's your indie game price-tag cutoff? What is the breaking point where, no matter what, you won't even consider a purchase? If you have no such price, please state as such. Please retweet as well.

It depends on the quality of the game more than the price for me. I definitely will look at a game and criticize its value based on what I think it's worth though.

If it looks good, I’ll gladly pay full AAA price, although it depends on the size. I’ve had a hundred plus hours of fun in Kenshi and FTL, probably forty or fifty in Into the Breach. Loving Atom RPG and that’s clearly got at least forty-sixty hours on a single playthrough.

I’d have paid $60 for any of those (or Age of Decadence), but they have a ton of content. For a shorter Wadjet Eye style adventure game, I’d probably balk above $25. That said, I’m not very price sensitive—so many deep sales that if something looks good, I’m glad to pay up.

I allow myself 1 new game purchase (at release) at full price and others need to be less than 30 bucks or at least 50% off but that's because I live in poverty. I tend to be a 1-3 years behind release dates when I pick them up.

It’s hard to put one price that fits all indie games. If I saw the effort and I was really interested in the game, I’d pay as long as I can afford it. Going by what I’ve seen from indies so far, $20-$25.

make under 10K a year, and half the money I make goes into my mortgage without even touching my other bills or food. I prefer $1=1hr of enjoyable gameplay, this is why I won't spend money on MMOs they might have 100s of hours of gameplay but it's all grindy bullshit, not fun. I
