On the other two hands: 1) "incel" wasn't *intended* to be a hate term (weak argument, yes); 2) using "misogyny" expands criticism to *all* forms of misogyny, which I think is a good move.
For now, yes. But that's only because everyone has to explain "incel" (which basically requires "misogyny"). Once "incel" is a term everyone knows, most people will probably just use it as a boogieman term on its own.

It will be fine imo. Just like I don't think trying to rebrand white supremacy as alt right escaped that connotation

And when that happens, we have the same pattern as always: misogynists will simply ditch the term and move on to another one... while keeping the misogyny intact (and even join in on dissing incels). That's what I want to caution people against.
-
But ur acting as if no one is discussing the misogyny. Very strange point I must say. I'll excuse myself now as I think we're just going in circles.
-
I'm not acting that way at all. In fact I've literally said the opposite more than once. They way it's being discussed now is *good*. My concern is *keeping* it good once it's no longer necessary to explain "incel is misogyny" in every take.

It's a strange thing to worry about something that is already working out well.
-
It will be the same as now when it's not necessary to explain alt right means white supremacist....and we don't have to say it in the same breath.
