I’m not sure that would unite the country tbh, just consolidate his supporters views that he is innocent. There needs to be prosecutions to demonstrate that this can’t happen again.

While I agree with the sentiments of the other posters here, setting the precedent of going after past presidents, legally, could be dangerous when the shoe is on the other foot. However, Trump already tried to go after Obama and Hillary. So food for thought.

There's a difference between going after someone because they're just your political opponent and prosecuting someone because they actually committed a crime.
