  5. Our financial analyses show that film comps are off (small samples, no surprise there). Call us if you want new models for comping content. We now can rival the studios analytics teams, with theory-driven work. We are just getting started!

  6. Simple analyses on box office do not tell the whole story. They also reveal that the folks calling the shots have trouble understanding economics & sophisticated stats. We would be more understanding if those exec's didn't ruin so many careers in the process of advancing myths.

  8. One of the reasons why we examined music was that WOC were thriving internationally. As such, we knew T\the mythologizing in film was inaccurate. Sure enough, our financial paper confirmed what we suspected. The film executives are math deficient. Those MBAs didn't pay off. 1/2
