New: Amazon is going after a younger, and likely more affordable, talent pool by limiting entry level software engineering positions to students and recent grads only. Appears to be part of an effort to overhaul its slowing engineering culture.

It's still feeling a lot like 2022 for people inside Facebook and Snap. Another round of layoffs at both companies is looking more and more certain. Could be another 5%-10% of headcount gone, or more if Q1 doesn't bring a big turnaround. More:

New: Amazon removed its renowned “bar raiser” process from some entry level job interviews. It helped shorten the hiring process and expand more quickly. But some say it dropped the talent level. Amazon announced 18K job cuts last week.
