To be fair, this is because they wanted the reporting to be unbiased. When I talked to them they were apologetic about it and I said that, particularly with the disability community, if they wanted any diversity in who reported, they were going to constantly run into the same
Issue. I gave them other names of people who could be involved (because I wanted the story to be told either way) but I couldn’t come up with one who didn’t self identify as an activist or advocate thus proving my point. They said they’re trying to revisit the policy.
