We've seen a huge increase in the number of #detransitioner accounts on Twitter over the last 1/2 years. The 104% increase in referrals (75% adolescent girls) to GIDS was in 2015/16. Around 45% medically transitioned. We've no idea how many will regret it.

Too many. Several detransitioners have messaged me saying they won't be sharing their stories under #DetransAwarenessDay because they're not in a good enough headspace to deal with the backlash.
There's so many of us.

It’s so understandable that some detransitioners aren’t in a place to speak up. It’s so hard and they’ve been through a lot. I hope they know how many are out there who support them. We want healing for them. That is the most important thing.
