I realised listening to Trans Widow stories how much transitioning effects the spouses and entire families. I see a close parallel with the ROGD families. Especially after hearing
@ImWatson91 journey with her mum and sister. We need to organise these events for survivors.
Families definitely need more support. The spouses, parents, siblings and children of trans people are all affected - yet they're branded hateful for not being immediately on board and for their feelings of loss. This absolutely needs to change.

Talking abt our feelings vital. Detransitioners should not be asked to prop up parents, they have enough to deal with, but this happens to us and siblings too. I have spoken about some of my travails on here, faced premature death, lost a sister & a parent. This is way harder.
