      I listened to it. Detransition is discussed briefly but it's mostly about the book, the main characters etc. Author claims people detransition because "transition is hard," though she also acknowledges that detransition is taboo and should be discussed more by trans groups.

      Does a trans guy character detransition to get pregnant? I wasn’t sure if that was something real I heard about the book or a bad dream about there being no escape from misogyny.

      Nah the detransitioner is a former trans woman, and gets another character pregnant. Wants to be a parent but "not a father."

      The main character's a trans woman, the detransition is a former trans woman and the other character is a "cis" woman who the detransitioner gets pregnant and who wants all three of them to raise the baby.
