When I hear that something is for “queer” ppl I immediately assume it’s anti homosexual and not a place I would be welcomed. I don’t understand the young TERFs who don’t feel this way.
I'm old enough to remember my gay friends having the shit kicked out of them for being "queers." It's disgusting to see the word used in a positive light these days.

Grim. It wasn’t one of the go to abuse words IME because where/when I grew up it was regularly used to mean odd/unusual/eccentric & not in a bad way - but I get why other people hate it so much (I hate the word “Bitch” for similar reasons).
