"Little is known about the long-term side effects of puberty blockers in children...It's also not known whether hormone blockers affect the development of the teenage brain or children's bones. Side effects may also include hot flushes, fatigue and mood alterations." - the NHS

Also most kids are "Eewww" if they see people kiss, so the value we place on their opinions on sexual matters should take this into account. Puberty changes their minds, not just their bodies.
-
And that "eewww" is so relevant when they want us to believe that a 10 year old can consent to being very possibly anorgasmic for life. Among other things, they have no idea if and how important their sexuality is going to be for them later. How should they?

It is, quite simply, a complete abandonment of adult sense

Absolute ridiculous that this is even being considered. Adults need their heads examined.

Presumably the parents have to consent like with any other medical treatment?
-
we're arguing here with the parents as well as the medical professionals This is not pure medicine but ideology driven. Parents are bombarded with the message they should affirm their child, they're bigots if they don't.

It's like parents signing their kids up for Komsomol or Hitler Youth

Agreed. Difference is that stopping kids from drinking etc till they're older has (virtually) no downsides, whereas some gender dysphoric kids benefit a lot from earlier treatment
