Very moving, I relate to a lot of this. I think the answers to the question at the end are so important. Questions like that seems to be skipped over when diagnosing, but had family and professionals questioned me like that it could have helped. Thanks for sharing this with us

Thankyou for sharing your journey. It gives me more insight and hope. A close family friend has recently decided to identify as FtM. I want to explore/ask questions (as your sister suggests) but both my girls insist on being unquestioningly supportive (affirming). It’s hard.

I did ask n state the dangers. Completely ostrasiced as mum (at behest of very affirmative partners family n bonewall etc). So any regret about not asking these things are misfounded I feel. Your current situation gives me hope for the future for mine. Thanks everso for sharing
