It's no wonder the *silent majority* stay silent on trans issues, precisely because the extremity of the backlash for expressing moderate support for gender recognition is so terrifying that I can't believe that any normal person would ever want to use this website again.

I won't be shutting up, going away or being intimidated by slander, lies and outright hysteria accusing me of hating 50% of the world's population simply because I believe trans women are women. These people have zero ability to intimidate me.

But if anyone else experienced that level of pile on, especially some of the extreme racism and bigotry I was subjected to in the space of a short few hours, I could understand why they would never want to tweet, & therefore struggle to promote their own careers on this platform

There is a campaign to drive trans people out of public life. There is a campaign to silence any potential trans allies with extreme accusations of misogyny and homophobia. This campaign is not strictly online, it's endemic in the British press, trans people are vilified daily.

Can you see why people who love their trans friends and family are so concerned, though? I refer to the CQC report which found the Tavistock clinic to be providing inadequate care for patients. Children have and are being harmed by gender ideology, and many trans people agree.

"Gender ideology" is a far right conspiracy theory It's a conspiracy theory promoted by Duda of Poland, Bolsonaro of Brazil, Orban of Hungary and "gender criticals" in Britain

Far right? You know the vast majority of the gender critical women on here are left wing, right? Adults with gender dysphoria should be free to transition and live in peace as their preferred gender, but people are going to push back against children being fed this ideology.

Yeah right. Left wing movements don't have a fascist like Posie Parker as a leader
It's pretty clear to any anti-fascist that looks that the very trajectory of "gender critical" is a Red-brown alliance, towards constituting itself as the nazbols of feminism1 reply 0 retweets 14 likes -

And the inadequate care at gender clinics like the Tavistock? The lacking research and consent, the experimental treatment and absence of follow up? It's *only* far right fascists who're appalled by that?

The inadequate care of tavistock isn't the prescribing of puberty blockers. You'd know that if you weren't an ideologue. Also you cant really call something experimental when it's been used for decades. That's a fucking absurdity

It is the prescribing of blockers, among other things. Not just the CQC, but the UK court agreed after the Bell vs Tavistock case. If anyone is truly pro-trans, they'll call this out and demand improvement - when scandals like this are brought to light, it harms trans people.

It's not PBs, mate. It does not follow international best practice. A court case that relied on the expert witness of someone who's own university says he has no expertise. The trans community has been calling tavistock out for years.
