Why do certain people want #detrans stories silenced?
Well, it's hard to claim that irreversible medical intervention is the best – nay, the only – treatment for gender dysphoria while also having to acknowledge the growing number of detransitioners who were harmed by it.
That's not surprising, sadly. The first time I learned what desistance and detransition was was online when I saw them sharing their stories. No mention of it by my GP or at my gender clinic.
