I remember when a trans women acquaintance joked that the first time she was cat-called was her "right of passage" into womanhood. She's not wrong. I was first cat-called at 14. Message was loud & clear: now that you're developing, you get to endure lewd remarks from grown men.

There is no way an adult male TW could have any idea of the fear, confusion, disgust and shame of being catcalled at 12. It's 100% not the same experience.
I agree. It baffles me that some men transition purely to receive such disrespectful treatment from other men.
