I remember when a trans women acquaintance joked that the first time she was cat-called was her "right of passage" into womanhood. She's not wrong. I was first cat-called at 14. Message was loud & clear: now that you're developing, you get to endure lewd remarks from grown men.
I know not all men are toxic: I'm in a relationship with a wonderful man. I just don't see why a teenage girl had to endure being asked to show her tits to a group of older men.
