I remember when a trans women acquaintance joked that the first time she was cat-called was her "right of passage" into womanhood. She's not wrong. I was first cat-called at 14. Message was loud & clear: now that you're developing, you get to endure lewd remarks from grown men.

A lot of girls want to be boys so that they don’t get this attention. They just don’t realise that men get all sorts of sexual harassment from women because men hide it&try to laugh it off. I think if we all had a rounder view of both sexes’ problems, we would be better for it x
