I believe those who claim "trans women are women" and who support affirmation only for young children are a very vocal minority. I met many trans people offline, mainly due to having been trans myself, and not one of them turned on me for detransitioning. They supported me 1/2

Possibly it's more that they are supporting powerful pharmaceutical companies. There are some nutty billionaires out there and medical transition - hormonal and surgical - offer endless money making opportunities.

Exactly.

It’s been my experience IRL too with trans friends and people I know (I’m not detrans or trans). Why do online TRA a vocal minority have so much power and backing from international corporations, banking, pharmaceuticals, and governments? Why are they rewriting reality/laws?

Governments tend to humour the bullshit that gets them the most votes and power. Right now that very vocal minority of TRA'a has a ton of power, became they bully others. Look at how many regular folks cower at the idea of being labeled a transphobe.
-
And not just regular folks. I've seen doctors and therapists cower at the idea of being called transphobic, at the detriment of those in their care.

A lot of the people shouting it are massively well paid “trans allies” or people trying to portray a certain social brand. I have no idea why they think it is a strategy that will actually help trans people (or why they don’t care that it won’t).
