Had a semi-heated conversation with a politically correct friend tonight. Befuddles me that a genuinely good, smart person can think how she does. She asked me how I'd feel if one of my nieces or nephews came out as trans. I told her honestly: I'd be absolutely heartbroken. 1/3

She asked me why, as if my answer was incomprehensible. Gender dysphoria nearly ruined my life. Of course I'd be heartbroken if I ever found out that someone I love has this awful condition. Why the fuck would anyone celebrate that? 2/3
