There’s nothing catty about pure honesty - we need more of it 
Don't mean to be catty, but can't help but notice how some women speak as if make-up makes a woman. No, I don't wear make-up. No, I don't need make-up to become the sex I was literally born as. No, I won't feel "more like a woman" by wearing make-up and painting my nails.

I never understood the no make up hashtags. In most of my photos I wear none
and I for one love a subtle, enhancing make-up, but not even that for every day. Sunscreen and a lip balm are quite enough for that.

You don’t need to wear makeup. I don’t understand what’s happened to our society where this is even a thing you feel you need to state. We’ve become so gender stereotypically regressive.

Pre lockdown, I used to feel so sad seeing the girls from the local coed school (11-16 year old) with lots of makeup. How did we allow it to become a norm girls think is necessary?

My daughter watched tutorials and tried makeup for a while influenced by friends. Most in our family don't bother so she has also grown to feel it isn't really necessary as well(along with ironing!)

Exactly! A woman is a stake of being, it’s just what we *are*, not a costume that we wear. If some women like makeup, good for them. But it doesn’t make them ‘more womanly’. How incredibly shallow.
